If you are caring for angelfish aquarium, or any aquarium for that matter then you will need to make sure that your aquarium is cleaned regularly in order to keep you fish in tip top condition. This will not only keep your fish happy and healthy, but by having a nice clean tank you will be making the most of a focal point and all of your friends and family will be able to see your beautiful fish and not the grime on the tank! The quality of your tank should begin before you have even introduced your fish into their new homes. You need to ensure you have all of the right equipment which helps you to keep your tank clean, including a filter system to regulate the water, as well as a good water conditioner to clean the water you add to your tank. You should ensure that your angelfish aquarium has a water pH level of 6.9 and has a temperature of 78 degrees. Starting out right is the best way to go to keep your angelfish aquarium squeaky clean!
Once your fish have made themselves at home, then you will notice straight away that the water will begin to get dirty and so will the tank, one way of helping to clean your tank is to perform regular water changes. This doesn’t mean you have to change all of the water in the aquarium each day, but you should do small water changes each day which will help to keep the water clearer for longer. After about seven or ten days, you should think about cleaning the aquarium completely to remove any bacteria and grime that might have made its self a home on the tank. When you change the water in your aquarium, always make sure to check the water pH level before you reintroduce your angelfish.
You can also keep your aquarium clean by making sure that you don’t over feed your angelfish. This can lead to the build up of food debris which can dirty the water and the tank quickly. Always clean up any debris left over after feeding to keep the tank cleaner for longer. Another way to keep your tank clean is to introduce bottom feeders to the aquarium that will regularly clean the algae from the aquarium, you should also use an abrasive sponge to clean away any unwanted algae on the sides of the tank.
