Caring for Angelfish Aquariums
|
Angelfish aquariums can be really decorative, and angelfish are a lovely species of fish to own because they are colourful and have excellent temperaments. Angelfish can make brilliant pets and can really add to any living room or office area. But, as with all aquariums there are things that you need to know before you attempt to keep an angelfish aquarium. With Angelfish care it is important to maintain the health of your fish, and if you are not quite sure how you can keep your fish healthy, then read this article for some advice so that you can be sure your angelfish aquarium will thrive. The size of your angelfish aquarium is often the most important factor when it comes to the health of your fish. If you over crowd a tank or have a tank which isn’t big enough for your species of fish, then this can hamper their growth and affect their health and it can even result in the death of your fish. The rule of thumb when it comes to keeping angelfish, is that you each fully grown adult angelfish, you need around four gallons of water to your tank. This means if you are planning on keeping, say five angelfish which are all fully grown then you will need an aquarium which can hold at least twenty gallons of water. You also need to know the correct temperature of the water for your angelfish aquarium. If you are not planning on breeding your fish, then a water temperature of around 78 degrees should be fine, but if you are breeding you angelfish the water temperature needs to be higher to increase the spawning process. In order to keep your angelfish healthy and happy, then you need to think about the filter which you will use in your tank. Angelfish are not the strongest of swimmers, so you will need to avoid having a high flow filtration system because this could stress your fish out. Instead, opt for a sponge filter or a filter which sits under the gravel so that it doesn’t upset your fish and cause unnecessary stress. The diet for your angelfish is also important in maintaining the health of your pets; this is because all fish need a staple diet which includes all of the nutrients which they need in order to remain in good health. If you are not sure what type of food you need to be giving them, then ask at your local pet store for more information. Click Image Below to
